Beetroot powder has a slightly sweet taste that does not clash with other foods. It is an ideal substitute for artificial red colours that may cause allergic reactions in sensitive people. Add to tandoori and butter chicken recipes for extra red colour, use in Chinese sweet & sour dishes. Not suitable to colour fresh home-made pasta as the colour leeches out during cooking.
Contains free flow agent (silicone dioxide) which has no known adverse reactions when added to foods.
